Okay, we once had a similar debate on this site over a guy who got busted with cocaine in his car because he was passed out and COPS found coke after a supposedly illegal seizure. Well, this guy is apparently a career criminal–reportedly DANGEROUS- yet the judge sides with him, of course.  Read the COMMENTS section for the rest of this pathetic story.  I may have to find my archives from the previous blog so I don’t have to repeat myself re. my stance on the topic.  I AM DISGUSTED AT OUR JUST-ASS SYSTEM with headlines like this:

The Star headline says it all:

Why did nobody help, asks mugged man, 79 — Victim, 79, says he will never travel alone again

The Comments section tells the story of a man who was mugged on the TTC subway by two animals during the day, in plain sight of many passengers, none of whom even called 911 or pushed the yellow emergency strip.  Unfortunately, social psychologists have known about this phenomenon since the 1960’s.

And every major city in every major country has its own such story. It’s NOT Torontonians, Ontarians, Americans, etc.  However, it definitely does seem like more of a problem in the big cities.  Sad…

Readers of this blog have seen ample evidence that our “just-ass” system favours the scumbags and re-victimizes the victims of crime. This story has to be one of the worst examples ever of such a travesty.  The COMMENTS section contains the rest of this pathetic story.

Murdered cabbie’s wife, kids turned away –No financial help for family torn apart by knife-wielding thug

The jury never knew that career thug [and Argument for the Death Penalty] Johnathan Forder, after inflicting fatal knife blows to one hapless cabbie — stabbing hard-working family man Mahmood Bhatti five times in the skull and neck, and breaking bone with the force of his blows — made good his escape minutes later by beating another cabbie almost senseless during the early-morning carjacking of his taxi.

It was deemed too prejudicial for the jury to hear.

So the jury, buying into the alcohol defence, and knowing nothing of the second attack, convicted the lifelong criminal of manslaughter — not second-degree murder — and the smirking, smiling and remorseless Johnathon Forder left the courtroom in early April knowing that, with the subtraction of eight years for pretrial custody, he would spend no more than four more years in jail, and be out by his 40th birthday.

I don’t watch Survivor or any of those “reality TV” programs, although I did watch the first season due to its novelty.  After seeing how fake the shows were, and how so many idiots began caring more about these desperate wannabe celebrities than they cared about their own family, friends and neighbours, I could not lower myself to such trash.

However, I was made aware that the latest season was called “Heroes and Villains.”  Huh?  Okay, maybe some of the idiots on the program are “villains.” But to call anyone on that show a “hero” is a disgrace to all of the true heroes out there.  I am fortunate to know quite a few heroes.  The Star story in the COMMENTS section below makes reference to one such hero–whom I don’t know personally–Thomas Zois, pictured below.  He endured some of the most horrific nightmares possible at the hands of pure evil.

The monster who murdered Thomas’ sister and brother, and then forced Thomas–whom he almost killed as well–to watch as he raped his dead sister, is evil incarnate.  He is not a man.  He is not human.  He does not deserve to live.  If ever there were an argument to bring back the death penalty, he would be the prime example.  He should be exterminated immediately.  But this is Canada.  He will be released in a few years, don’t worry…

In the meantime, Thomas fought past the trauma inflicted on him and managed to graduate high school and received accolades last summer while working for the Toronto Police on a youth program.  He is a true hero.

This story is a bit old but the scumbag ex-judge was found guilty today, so I thought I’d post a link to this video/audio.  All the credit to this woman’s boyfriend for setting up an amazing sting.  This link takes you to 7+ minutes of pure patheticness, as the judge at the time tries to begin a relationship with a Korean refugee claimant.

So, PM Harper wants to modify the PARDON system, in light of the news a few weeks ago that an evil pedophile got a total pardon a few years ago, and now one of our most infamous sociopaths, Karla Homolka, will be eligible for a pardon next year.  Good.

And as I discussed a few months ago, Councilor Rob Ford, who’s a douche many times over, is running for mayor of Toronto. As I explained before, he may be a douche but I can’t think of anyone better to fix Toronto’s sorry, sorry state of affairs after years of mismanagement by THE MOST ENTITLED assholes in all of Canadian politics, Toronto City Council–okay, they’re tied with Vaughn City Council. And things got worse when David Miller took over, which is pathetic, given that his predecessor was the embarrassing buffoon, Mel Lastman, who has less class, intelligence or tact than a used car salesman.  Looks as if others share my view, as Ford is now in second place in the race and gaining momentum.  This is getting exciting.  If only the politician with the most integrity, John Tory, would run; that might also keep him off the radio, where he unfortunately sucks as a host.

The TTC is hosting public bitch sessions and are promising to listen to what they’re being told in order to make some essential changes in their operation. Do they really need these sessions?  Let’s hope something comes of this.

More Sikhs are getting more violent in the GTA.  And they want kirpans to make it easier for them to whip out during another crazy melee?  Ooookay…

These are just some of the stories I’ll likely be following over the next while.  As each story moves to the next chapter, I’ll be making my assessments and predictions as always.  I hope there will be some true change in some of these cases but I really doubt it.  Too many people have too much invested in keeping the various systems the same as they are…
