Really, our Just-Ass System is CORRUPT!

Thursday, July 29th, 2010

I have to admit that I’ve been reading the online version of the Toronto Sun more recently because it covers stories closer to me geographically.  Yeah, the level of writing and analysis is usually quite low, but if it covers a story the other papers aren’t, I’m all for it. The article in the COMMENTS section below should make your blood boil. It is a slap in the face of all GOOD people that an ARGUMENT FOR THE DEATH PENALTY is allowed to walk the streets freely (for periods at a time) so close to the people whose lives he ruined when he murdered an innocent victim. Read on and be disgusted…

Justice for the Just-Ass

Saturday, July 24th, 2010
I believe I covered this story before, about an immigration judge and former city councillor who was nailed for trying to get an immigration applicant to have sex with him in exchange for a favourable judgment. He’s the guy who was filmed by the woman’s boyfriend from across the street, while she recorded their convo from the coffee shop patio they were in.
He claims to take full responsibility for his disgusting act–described in the Star story in the COMMENTS below–but he’s also begging for mercy (I don’t blame him) when he whines, “All my life’s achievements were washed away at the meeting at Starbucks….My two beautiful children are saddled with a criminal for a father, as they try to establish themselves in the world.” And he also blamed his previously undiagnosed bipolar disorder for his actions. Really?  He doesn’t sound very manic on the tape. He sounds very cold and calculating (and pathetic). Bipolar Disorder is very serious and it does cloud one’s judgment.  However, that’s mostly during the manic or severely depressed stages, whereas he did not appear to be either during his plot to get this woman.
On the other hand, there was no evidence of any other criminal behaviour, so maybe he didn’t always lack judgment, although I doubt that. Maybe a thorough investigation would reveal more of his true character and other acts of misconduct. In the meantime, who thinks he’ll serve any jail time????

Dalton is DONE for….

Saturday, July 17th, 2010
Okay, I think Premier Dalton McGuinty has finally pulled enough shit–I can’t even list it all, but the most recent eco fees debacle that was handled so badly that consumers all got ripped off for two weeks while McGuinty and his flunkies fled without a word (until Friday)–to make enough people willing to risk returning to the Conservatives. I predicted years ago that Liberal McGuinty could get away with almost anything, since his predecessor, Conservative Mike Harris, was the worst Premier this country had ever seen. The NDP won’t get re-elected because people tried that experiment once and Bob Rae bungled it so badly that no one wants to take a chance again. Besides, who is the leader for the Ontario NDP party? Most people can’t answer that.
If only the Conservatives and public didn’t have their heads so far up their ass, they would have kept John Tory at their helm.  I don’t agree with everything he says, and I am not for funding private religious schools–including Catholic–but he was the most honest politician with the most integrity in Canada. If he fucked something up, he would fix it.  Well, that kind of straight shooting was too much for the party and the public. So now we have slimy Tim Hudak. You might not be able to find any scandals involving him yet. And I agree with his fiscal conservative ideas. But as readers of this site know, I have “spidey sense” and it tingles around Hudak. Once he gets elected, you’ll see what I mean. Just remember where you read it first.

The Polar Opposite of this Piece of Shit

Tuesday, July 13th, 2010

At the bottom of this post is a picture and brief story about an Argument for the Death Penalty. He was in Canada illegally (surprise) and wasted millions of our tax dollars on legal aid as he kept firing his lawyers in a case where he raped and murdered one woman while on bail for raping another woman…Only in Canada, one of the most lenient and ridiculed countries in the world.

However, for every piece of shit like this animal, there are amazingly wonderful people like Brianna Smrke, who received 100% in all eight of her last classes in high school, while volunteering in her spare time! Fuck Paris Hilton and her ilk (okay, too late). Every parent needs to teach their children about this remarkable young woman. KUDOS!  I just wish I could get her picture up here.

The COMMENTS section contains the rest of these STAR stories. I hope as much success for Ms. Smrke–which I know she’ll attain–as I do pain for that savage.

All Hail Harper (or something pretty close)

Sunday, July 11th, 2010

I’ve written a number of times about how PM Harper is doing everything in his power to make his government less accountable and transparent than ever before. He’s a power mad control freak who knows that no one has a stomach for another election, thus he’s acting like he’s in a majority government, even though he’s had only a minority government these past two terms. Unfortunately, the Liberals and NDP have proven that they can’t even get the right person to lead them to inspire people to come back away from the dark side that is Harper’s government. Now, I’m no fan of the Liberals or NDP for what they’ve done provincially and federally (well, federally the NDP hasn’t done anything for decades and decades), and I think Jean Chretien ruled over one of the most corrupt gang of thugs ever.

But Harper is taking this thuggery to a new height. This past week, he tried to pass a bill that would basically mean that all environmental assessments would be rubber stamped by people we cannot trust. Thankfully, Lowell Murray, a Conservative Senator, has the integrity lacking in all other Conservative Senators and refused to pass this omnibus bill, which would have crammed in a whole bunch of scary shit with desperately needed measures. Of course, Harper responded by appointing yet another Conservative Senator to help tip the balance back toward his corrupt side (which is nothing new, since all PMs appoint Senators who will help their corrupt cause).

The COMMENTS section contains the Star Editorial with more details on the matter.

Brutal Honesty…

Saturday, July 3rd, 2010

In light of the G20 debacle–and thank you for everyone who keeps contributing to the relevant threads below!–I thought I would post this recent story in the COMMENTS section.  First, I am sickened that the courts would waste our time and money trying to charge a merchant who detained some scumbag who kept ripping off his store. I covered that story before, explaining that I side 100% with the merchant who is merely protecting his livelihood.  He didn’t beat the jerk, he just detained him. The problem?  He did it one hour later, after he saw the guy riding by, likely about to rob him again. Now, if he cut the guy’s hands off for stealing, that would be another story.  But how the fuck does any cop or anyone in the just-ass system live with themselves when they admit that a scumbag criminal has more rights than a good, honest, hard-working citizen who was a victim of the scumbag criminal?!  Another reason to be embarrassed to be a Canadian.

Having said all that, I have to admit that part of me is glad for what the cops did in the STAR story in the COMMENTS section. Namely, they broke the jaw of an animal who had been involved in many VIOLENT home invasions, some of which are described here:

The robberies were apparently aimed at drug dealers who allegedly owed money. But elderly women and an 8-year-old girl were among the victims.

One woman was sexually assaulted and another was told she would be shot if something went wrong.

A man inside one of the homes had a dollar sign carved into his back with a knife by one of the robbers, who also tried to cut off the man’s finger.

Now, if they were uncertain that this piece of shit was guilty, I’d be concerned.  But they knew he was guilty.  So I applaud the cops for exacting true justice on this Argument for the Death Penalty.  Home Invasions–especially the kinds these monsters committed–are truly some of the worst violations one can imagine, and our courts do not treat them seriously enough. I only wish the cops had called in all of the victims and let them have their way with this waste of skin.

Of course, the rational part of me is concerned that the cops are taking justice into their own hands. What if some cop believes that smoking a joint is worthy of a broken jaw?! So of course I don’t want cops to be able to wantonly throw around vigilante force. But in cases such as this one, I have to admit that I feel that a little karma has been restored…
